Introduction

The Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA) is a National representation association of Pediatricians of Pakistan. It has registered on 6th May, 1965 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 with the Provincial Assistant Registrar as a no profit welfare society. It's members are qualified pediatricians with at least a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) &/ or Membership or Fellowship of College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (MCPS, FCPS) or Royal Colleges of England/ Canada (MRCP,FRCP) or American Board of Pediatrics (DABP).

The PPA has a national management committee called "Executive Committee of PPA (Center) has its permanent office at Karachi.

There are five Branches, which cover geographic regions in the country. The office bearers are elected every two years. The term of office extends from one Biennial to other (Two calendar years). There is also an International Chapter which encompass eligible members from out of Pakistan territory. Each branch has chapters located usually in division/district headquarter cities. The Association also has specialty groups and committees functioning under overall control of Executive Committee of PPA.
